Naruto untold stories: Happy Birhtday... I guess

Okay so this is a series of chapters in the Naruto casts life that they've never bothered putting in episodes so but I wish they would I'm calling it Naruto: Untold stories but depending one who its for I'll put a different name like if its for Sakura I'll put Sakura: Untold stories you get the idea ;)

It was a gloomy day October tenth. The air was chilly and the sky was gray with rain falling down in sheets. Most people stayed inside not because of the rain but because of the horrible event that had occurred on this same day sixteen years ago. From my window I watched shadowy figures dressed in black pass by with umbrellas. All heading in the same direction of course. They all had someone close die on this day. They all met there death the same way. "Damn fox..." I say bitterly and watch my breath fog up the window.

I pull myself away from my bedroom window to my kitchen. I open my cupboard looking at my various kinds of instant ramen, I see there's only two left of my favorite kind. I shrug while grabbing one of them "it is a special occasion..." I smile warily. Today's my seventeenth birthday. I know birthdays are supposed to be a happy occasion spent with friends and family, but I've never been able to celebrate it like that. There are just too many reasons not to. I frown while pouring facet water into my cup of ramen and placing it in the microwave. I lean against the counter waiting. Its quiet apart from the hum of the microwave and the rain tapping on my window. The microwave beeps, I take my ramen out and sit quietly at the table.

Most of my friends don't know its my birthday. I've never bothered to tell them, like I always tell myself there's too many reasons not to. Too many deaths. I guess it's just to hard to put a smile on knowing my parents died on this day... whoever they were. I've asked that old geezer plenty of times who they were. The answer was always the same. It won't bring back the dead. I suppose I should take that old mans advice and stop thinking about it. I don't know who my parents were and I don't know what a parents love is like but... I can't imagine them wanting me to feel this way on my birthday.

I tilt my head back and drink the last of the broth. From my chair i throw the paper ramen cup along with the cheap wood chopsticks into the garbage the cup hits the wall above it and falls into the bin, the chopsticks however don't make it and clatter onto the floor. I sigh heavily and push my chair out "guess I'll pick'em up later..." whenever that is I think to myself. It's only 4 p.m. and I planned to stay inside all day but my body can't handle that and I need some fresh air.

The rains lightened up a bit, but it's still enough to soak my jacket. Probably should have brought an umbrella I thought dumbly. I stick to the back streets. I want to avoid as many villagers in black as possible. I know it's not my fault. I know I'm not to blame for what happened in the past, but still... I can't help but feel guilty. I know most of the villagers don't see me as that demon fox anymore, but there are still those who think of my name as taboo. There are still some who put me at fault for the deaths of those close to them. Sometimes I wonder if I should be at the graveyard with the rest. As an apology, or do I have no right of even being there.

I slipped my hands in my pants pockets and curled them into fists as the cold reached my finger tips. Muddy water splashed my pants leg as I stepped in a puddle soaking through my shoes. Street lights flickered on as it reached 5 p.m, and I turned on to a familiar street that held Ichirakus ramen stand. Looking up ahead at it I was surprised to see light filling it "they're never open on Sundays" I say to myself.

"Naruto!" I heard my name suddenly called.

"Sakura!?!" I spun around. Her pink hair was wet and sticking to her face, and her day clothes as wet as my own.

She smiled lightly at me "I was just at your apartment, but you weren't there. Come on everyone's waiting!" She said brightly and placed a hand on my shoulder leading me closer to Ichirakus ramen stand.

"W-what do you mean... everyone?" I ask seriously.

"It's your birthday isn't it? Your supposed to celebrate" She said as she pulled back the short curtains and entered the ramen stand "with friends..."

"Happy birthday Naruto!" ten shinobi cheered wishing me happy birthday, and Sakura was right... I'm supposed to spend this day with friends despite whats happened in the past...
